dc.description.abstract | Introducción: Dentro de la atención de salud tras un evento adverso severo en la atención al paciente, el trabajador de la salud involucrado se convierte en segunda víctima lo que genera impacto en su vida a nivel psicológico emocional y laboral afectando sus relaciones laborales y familiares. Objetivo: Analizar los impactos físicos, emocionales, psicológicos, profesionales y estrategias de intervención de las segundas víctimas tras un evento adverso a nivel mundial en los últimos once años a la luz de la literatura. Método: Revisión sistemática de la literatura con metodología prisma, próspero registro ID304371, utilizando las bases de datos: Science Direct, ProQuest, PubMed, Google académico; se emplearon algoritmos de búsqueda con descriptores decs, mesh y lenguaje libre. Resultados: La prevalencia de segundas víctimas como consecuencia de los eventos adversos es alta y afecta a los profesionales de la salud independientemente de su edad, profesión o experiencia. La mayoría de los estudios refieren que los profesionales manifiestan haber sido segundas víctimas en algún momento de su vida, frente a los impactos psicológicos el estrés, ansiedad y trastornos del sueño son los más frecuentes. A nivel laboral las principales repercusiones son la pérdida de confianza en sí mismo, querer rotar de lugar de trabajo y en los casos más severos cambiar de profesión. 7 Conclusión: Los eventos adversos pueden presentarse en cualquier momento de la atención al paciente, sin importar edad, sexo, experiencia laboral o profesión como tal del trabajador de la salud. Así mismo los profesionales de la salud que son segundas víctimas, desarrollan un gran impacto psicológico y emocional, dentro de los más frecuentes, se encuentran ansiedad y culpa los cuales afectan su vida personal, laboral y familiar. Es necesario generar intervenciones de forma inmediata en los casos de crisis para las segundas víctimas, se sugiere que el profesional tenga la oportunidad de estar en un lugar tranquilo y específico para recuperarse después del evento adverso. Se debe promover apoyo psicosocial para mitigar los impactos psicológicos, emocionales y profesionales de la segunda víctima. | spa |
